2 anti-inflammatory supplements for dogs – rosehip & sea buckthorn berry

Entzündungshemmende Nahrungsergänzungsmittel für Hunde gibt es einige. Dazu gehören auch Hagebutte und Sanddornbeere.

There is a great variety of helpers from nature in the form of medicinal plants and also a wide range of anti-inflammatory supplements for dogs. At this point, I have chosen two that I would like to introduce to you. I have also given them myself to my dog girl Snowy. They are the rosehip and the lesser known sea buckthorn berry. I am always amazed at how much you can support your dog with the administration of nutritional supplements and medicinal plants. Important here is of course to make the right choice and combination for your dog and also to pay attention to a very good quality. An intensive look at the package insert can save you from unpleasant surprises and disappointments.

Anti-inflammatory supplements for dogs: rosehip and sea buckthorn berry – what can they do?

Rosehip

Rosehip has a very high vitamin C content. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and regulating effects. Rosehip it is particularly suitable in powder form for joint diseases such as osteoarthritis, Hip dysplasia, Elbow dysplasia & Co.. It supports the better supply and regeneration of the joint cartilage. In addition to the high content of vitamin C, rosehip also contains the vitamins of the B-complex and vitamins A, E, K1. Moreover, the red pigment lycopene in rosehip powder delays the aging process of cells. In the body, vitamin A is formed from it.

Rosehip also supports blood formation, the immune system in general and regulates intestinal activity, which is helpful for both diarrhea and constipation.

Sea buckthorn berries

Sea buckthorn berries contain even more vitamin C than rosehip and even surpass lemons in terms of vitamin C. Did you know that! Unimaginable, isn’t it? Like rosehip, they have analgesic, regulating and anti-inflammatory effects. This is particularly useful for musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia and spondylosis. They support better supply and regeneration of the joint cartilage.

Besides vitamin C, sea buckthorn berries are rich in almost all B vitamins and vitamin E, ß-carotene. In addition, there are several minerals, such as calcium, iron and magnesium. Sea buckthorn is used mainly against infections and to strengthen the immune system. The power berries support physical and mental performance. In addition, they have a positive effect on cardiovascular diseases and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.
